What exactly is the aim of our game in Libya?

SO HERE we are embroiled in yet another war where it does not seem we know what our plan is.

Is there a plan? While I understand it is hard to watch a leader attack his own people, what exactly is our aim in Libya? Are we there to rescue people or to topple a dictator? And if we are there to topple a dictator what are we going to do once that is done? We made a hash of things in Afghanistan and Iraq so what makes us think this war will be any different? And anyway, isn't this the same country we were all pally with just a couple of years ago? KL, Aintree
