What a way with words.

A HUDDERSFIELD New College student has won two awards in a debating competition held at Bradford Law School.

Erin Hill won the trophy for the Best Individual Debater and, along with her debating partner Harry Doodson, also won the Best Team Trophy.

Bradford Law School has held the event for the past two years.

There were 15 debates throughout the day, including subjects such as; 'The death penalty should be reinstated formurder' and 'You have to be twice as good as a woman to be considered as good as a man'.

Thirty teams from schools and colleges all over West Yorkshire including Greenhead College, Huddersfield New College, Bradford Girls Grammar School, Batley Grammar School and Morley High.
