What Is the Sound of Someone Unravelling.

You have to know what to listen for: A sigh that catches wetly in
the throat, the clip clip clip of nails being trimmed, the clink of the
green coriander bottle placed next to the rosemary and then the oregano
as if some kind of order were possible. What did you expect anyway? A
howl? The sound of someone unravelling is a low hum like restless bees
at the summer's end, just as the cold closes in.
