Westminster management named firm of year by apartment assoc.
Westminster Management, an affiliate of Kushner Companies, manages nearly 18,000 apartment units, representing 97 properties ranging from traditional garden apartment complexes to high-rise buildings, to active-adult communities.
As evidence of the quality of its management and its properties, Westminster's portfolio currently averages 96 to 97 percent occupancy.
The properties are located throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.
"We are very proud to receive this award, the highest honor that the NJAA bestows within the apartment industry," said Alan Hammer, acting chairman of Kushner Companies.
"It is a recognition of the extraordinary job that our staff does on a daily basis, remaining constantly responsive to tenant needs and meeting the highest standards of property management."
In addition to the Property Management Company of the Year award, Westminster received several individual awards. Staff member April Trammell, manager of Warwick Terrace in Somerdale and The Willows at Barrington, was honored as Property Manager of the Year;
Jennifer Camp, resident manager of the Quail Ridge Apartments in Plainsboro, received the Most Supportive On-Site Staff Member award; General Greene Village in Springfield was noted for its Curb Appeal; and Woodview at Marlton garden apartments were singled out for a Resident Services award.
The NJAA is a non-profit organization representing multifamily developers, owners and managers throughout the state for the purpose of enhancing quality rental housing.
