Western Pacific Trust Company (TSX VENTURE:WP) has said that, subject to regulatory approval, Alison Alfer has been appointed as president and chief executive officer effective May 22, 2014.

Ms. Alfer has served the company and its subsidiaries in several senior capacities, and for the past two years has held the position of vice-president, Operations. At the Annual General and Special Meeting of shareholders of the company, held on May 22, 2014, the retiring President, John de Wit, was elected to the board of directors in addition to Alfer.

A non-deposit taking financial corporation, Western Pacific is licensed under the Financial Institutions Act in British Columbia as a Trust Company, and is also registered extra-provincially in Alberta as a non-deposit taking Trust Company.
