ERNEST YODER, MD, PHD, MACP, has been appointed to oversee residency and fellowship training at Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He serves as associate dean for graduate medical education.

He previously was professor and founding dean at Central Michigan University College of Medicine in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. He also has served as vice president for medical education and research at St. John Health System in Warren, Michigan, and as clinical professor of medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. His clinical, academic and publishing focus has been on continuous quality improvement and evidence-based medicine.

Yoder earned his MD and did his residency at Wayne State in internal medicine. He earned his PhD in education there as well.
