Wellies wanted for farm project; NEWS IN BRIEF.

GIVE some welly to the Cedar Tree in Caerphilly to benefit kids getting involved in farmyard activity projects.

If you are having a spring clean and your children have outgrown their wellies donate to get youngsters involved in educational farm fun.

Tarah Cunynghame, marketing executive for the organisation, said: "Children grow up at a rate of knots and wellies are replaced all the time. We hope families will get behind our Project Welly campaign."

Wellies collected at the pub will be distributed via the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens which helps city farms and community gardens to carry out their work of creating communities to be proud of and giving people a chance to improve their own lives, whatever their age, ethnic background or ability.

Some children who visit the farms and gardens may not have their own wellies, so donations will be put to good use.

The campaign runs until May 31. Visit for more information or to get involved in the campaign.
