Welcome to Fort Willie.

Byline: STEVE SMITH

TRAFFIC warden Margaret Clark didn't know where to slap her ticket when this cheeky streaker interrupted her rounds in Fort William.

The Highland town has seen plenty of visitors over the years hoping to catch a stunning view of Ben Nevis in all its glory.

But while the splendour of Britain's highest peak remained shrouded in Scotch mist, this brave Dutch diver left nothing to the imagination and made sure tourists and locals got a real eyeful.

The flying Dutchman sprinted naked through the streets in broad daylight as a bizarre forfeit for losing a game of pool. But he ran straight into the long arms of the law - in the shape of granny Margaret.

The warden, who can now claim to have seen it all, said: "It happened quick as a flash. I didn't know where to look."

There was clearly no need to take down his particulars but on closer inspection, it emerged the nimble nude was from Holland and on a diver training course at the nearby Underwater Centre.

Margaret said: "I wouldn't have known he was Dutch - there wasn't a lot to go on!"

As Margaret struggled to uphold the law, three visiting grannies from Glasgow shouted: "You catch him, hen, and we'll take him back home on the bus!"
