Weekend's best forgot; Your shout.

THE great late Henry Cooper would have been wringing his hands in disbelief if he had have been around to witness the socalled big fight with the unbeatable Haye, who was going to rip his opponent to shreds.

The winner, reigning champion Klitschko, jabbed his way to victory over a hapless Haye.

I, like thousands of others, was led to believe through the advertisements that a great British unbeatable future champion was poised for years at the top of the ratings.

The whole episode was a letdown for British boxing fans. Blaming a broken toe for his downfall was swept aside by Klitschko who stated that Haye should stop looking for excuses and move on.

The new champion is a gentleman - a cool-hand Luke who was a deserving victor.

With the defeat of Andy Murray at Wimbledon and England losing to Sri Lanka in the cricket series, it's been a best-forgotten weekend for British sport.
