Wedded miss.

THE WEDDING VIDEO 94mins 15 IF there's one up-and-coming actress destined for big, big things, it's our very own Lucy Punch. With impeccable and hilarious comic timing she's one name to watch. Alas, this patchy Brit-com isn't likely to be her break-out role.

She plays the nouveau riche Saskia, whose fraught wedding preparations are videoed by the groom's brother/best man (Rufus Hound).

With the bride's socially-aspirant mum (Miriam Margolyes) determined to make this the wedding of the century, all involved face soaring stress levels, not helped by skeletons that come clattering from closets. There are about a dozen laughs throughout, with long stretches in between, but at least Punch makes the most of the hit-and-miss script. Meanwhile, Robert Webb as the groom is coasting along on autopilot, while Hound's puppy-dog enthusiasm wears awfully thin, awfully quickly.
