Webversa, a leader in Voice-to-Enterprise (V2E) technology services, and Xspeedium, an e-business managed service provider (MSP), yesterday announced their intent to integrate Webversa Voice(TM) technology into Xspeedium's software and infrastructure offerings. Webversa Voice gives mobile users access to enterprise information from any telephone, using voice commands.

Xspeedium builds and hosts B2B digital trading exchanges serving as a managed services provider for e-business and provides rapid, cost effective integration into those exchanges through its Participant Enablement Program. Xspeedium will offer its customers the Webversa Voice application as a value added service through its hosted e-business solution package.

As a result, mobile and remote Xspeedium users with only a telephone will be able to effectively interact with the digital exchange as effectively as if they were sitting at a computer terminal.

"Our agreement with Xspeedium signals an important trend in V2E, as more companies come to recognize it as a vital method for conducting business," said Janet Wylie, CEO of Webversa. "Xspeedium's Webversa-enhanced marketplace package will soon help Xspeedium customers voice-enable their existing enterprise applications and Web sites without investing in additional IT infrastructure. We're proud to help make that happen."

While Xspeedium will market, sublicense and distribute the Webversa Voice application as an extension of its products, Webversa will host usage of the application by Xspeedium customers. In addition, the two collaborators will explore possibilities for an operational pilot program where Webversa and Xspeedium will demonstrate their collective capabilities

"Xspeedium is a strong believer in V2E," said George Holland, Chief Technology Officer of Xspeedium. "Our e-business customers are demanding the kind of mobile functionality that only enterprise-focused voice enablement can offer. Webversa stands alone in its ability to help us deliver what our customers need: real-time access to dynamic business information through any phone, anywhere."
