Weaponized language.

Summary: The Syrian regime has already mastered brutality with innovations like mass killings using barrel bombs and whatnot, but it is now venturing into "weaponizing" language to serve its needs, introducing terms such as "regime of calm," which in fact is a 72-hour break for its pilots and jets to rearm and continue their onslaught, and is exactly what happened on the heels of Thursday's massacre at a hospital in Aleppo.

The Syrian regime has already mastered brutality with innovations like mass killings using barrel bombs and whatnot, but it is now venturing into "weaponizing" language to serve its needs, introducing terms such as "regime of calm," which in fact is a 72-hour break for its pilots and jets to rearm and continue their onslaught, and is exactly what happened on the heels of Thursday's massacre at a hospital in Aleppo.

Friday's target was a clinic where the number of those killed remains unclear. And in the midst of this brutality the Russians have said this "freeze" in fighting has been agreed upon by Washington and Moscow, while U.S. comments on the topic are in line with their typical ambiguity, where it's uncertain if they condone or condemn the attack.

The epitome of this tragedy is that the Russians are up in arms after their consulate was hit in regime-controlled Aleppo, without explaining the presence in the city of a consulate, which could easily be a cover for a clandestine military base.

Again, the irony is that the Russians, the Americans and envoy Staffan de Mistura insist on the cessation of hostilities with no intentions to address the problem, insinuating that this massacre is occurring on Mars, and so their conscience is clear as they pontificate about cease-fires and negotiations.

Any talk of truces and negotiations has become a sick joke. The regime has made it clear that it only has one goal: to destroy, kill and massacre in any area that does not declare its allegiance to the dictator.

This state of affairs has confirmed without a shred of doubt that the international community, the U.N. and all relevant organizations are but platforms for drivel that not only fails to produce results but also adds fuel to the fires that Syria's people are suffering from.
