This week... ...Eyeshadow palettes | CK One Powder Eyeshadow Quad in Disco, PS25, available at Debenhams Just launched on a smart counter at Debenhams, Cardiff, CK One offer a neat collection of cosmetics and my eyes were immediately drawn to these colourful quads.

They comes in eight variations, from Amazon, with a shocking garden green, to Angel, made up of soft pastel shades like an angel cake.

Disco is a dark plum that I lined above the lashes, a slightly shimmery ecru/white for the base, and a deep lilac and shimmer-flecked violet for contouring. Although it didn't look that strong on the brush, the pigment was far tougher than it looked, and all four colours lasted for hours. CR | Clarins Enchanted Colour Quartet and Liner Palette in Enchanted Eyes, PS30, available online only at Like all Clarins products, this is impeccably packaged, with each shadow impressed with a luxurious Indian design and colours inspired by saris.

The four shadows - shimmery brown, violet, gold and beige - and the brown eyeliner can be used separately or together.

The sparkle in the gold is subtle but perfect for night time, while the brown is great for day wear, with the violet a lovely pigment pop, perfect for this season's purple trend. The shadows last well, definitely worth the buy. KMc | Smashbox Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio in Focal Point, PS21, Smashbox is now available at Boots This useful trio of eyeshadows has three colours perfect for everyday use, especially if you're a fan of brown, muted shades.

The champagne is perfect from the lashline to the brow bone, followed by flamingo on the lid and java (a very dark mocha brown colour) for the contours.

They were easy to apply and worked well together as a colour scheme. They didn't last as long as I hoped but as long as you're prepared to keep touching them up, they're good for daywear. RM
