We need leader to defy unions and EU; LETTERS.

WHILST not always agreeing with Brian Christley, his letter (December 8) telling us we need a Thatcher in these dark days is spot on.

She would have sorted out the bully boy union chiefs who earn in excess of pounds 200,000 a year then stand back and tell people to strike, and go hungry with no pay while they live it up in their big houses.

DAY Then there are the leaders of countries we defeated and countries who capitulated, I talk of Germany and France.

What gives them the right to tell us what to do, with their flippant take it or leave it attitude to Britain? Given the chance I and many millions would vote to leave the EU.

I only hope that the hand-wringing leaders from all parties in the house find some backbone as we did in 1945 and Maggie did in the 80s.
