We love telly: DOCUMENTARY - CULT OF THE SUICIDE BOMBER C4, 8pm.

Byline: by MAEVE QUIGLEY

ON a night full of big, scary, important documentaries, former CIA agent Robert Baer turns in his third report on the war on terror.

This summer, Britain suffered its first attack from a, thankfully inept, suicide bomber. But while the word from Scotland Yard is "The only sensible assumption is that we will be attacked again," Baer offers the more optimistic theory that suicide bombing will eventually fall out of fashion and "burn itself out."

And in Israel he sees the last-ditch solution they've constructed - a massive concrete wall separating Palestinians and Israelis. Effective, but hopefully not something that will be adopted in the UK anytime soon.
