We didn't play but it was biggest win.

CSABA LASZLO last night admitted Rangers' Scottish Cup win was one of Hearts' biggest results of the season.

The Jambos are one tie from the money-spinning Europa League group stages but it would have been different if Falkirk had lifted the trophy.

In that case the Bairns would have been awarded a place in the final Europa League playoff qualifying round and forced Hearts back to the third qualifying stage on July 30.

If they're not seeded Hearts could face stiff competition from a leading side in the likes of Spain, England or Germany on August 20 and 27.

Laszlo said: "Rangers won the Cup, this was a big result for us. I'd like to congratulate them on the Double because I am a sportsman.

"My club is in a fortunate position and this is a big opportunity."

Meanwhile, versatile Jambo Eggert Jonsson has been named in the Iceland squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Holland and Macedonia.

Scotland's Group 9 rivals are all in action on Saturday and next Wednesday.
