We can hardly bear the wait for Foodie Fortnight to begin...

KENILWORTH is gearing up to launch its first ever Foodie Fortnight on Sunday - with the help of a giant bear called Kenny.

Mascot Kenny Bear will be in Abbey End handing out balloons to children between 12-3pm on Sunday, while the adults can get their hands on a directory of events.

There will be music and free tasters from The Almanack, and plenty of special offers from restaurants, pubs, cafes and other businesses at a mini market.

Other events which will be run as part of the inaugural festival include a beer festival and food-tasting in High Street on Saturday October 6, and a growyour-own market and wine-tasting in Talisman Square the following Saturday.

The festival is being supported by Warwick District Council, Kenilworth Town Centre Partnership, Time for Tea, The Almanack, Kenilworth Wines, Petit Gourmand, Sweet As, Farmers Fayre, The Pitt Stop, Holiday Inn, Harringtons and the Clarendon Arms.
