We've had a snow ball; SAIRA KHAN EDA Journalist of the Year 2017 @iamsairakhan.

Byline: SAIRA KHAN

Yes, the snow caused havoc for many people last week - causing disruption to trains, planes and automobiles, not to mention school closures and power cuts.

But I tell you what, in my house it brought only joy and happiness. It was on with the thermals, woolly hats, gloves and wellies, and into the garden to build a 6ft snowman and have a snowball fight that lasted for hours.

Then my husband Steve pulled out an old sleigh we had bought years ago and took the kids for a ride - as seen, left. They laughed and giggled and fell off on purpose just to land in the snow.

There is something magical about the cold white stuff, regardless of age. Which proves the best things in life are freeze.
