We're snow that hardy; RECORD READERS.
A FEW inches of snow and the country comes to a halt. Schools closed, rail, road, air and sea services all disrupted. Why? It seems that any excuse for a day off will do. Years ago, we had snow two, three and four feet deep and yet we still went to school and our parents never missed a day's work because of it.
Is it all down to the nanny state that we are all a part of now or is it just the excuse that they needed? Tom Baxter, Denny, Stirlingshire
