For Whitey and Blacky are from a new breed created specially for pet allergy sufferers.

Breeder Gordon Smith produces Jackadoodles - crosses of Jack Russells and toy poodles. The dogs have fluffy coats which don't trigger allergic reactions.

Gordon, 39, who lives near Montrose, Angus, bred .-his first Jackadioodle for an allergic aunt.

Yesterday, he said: "They have a 100 per cent success rate, and they're brilliant companions."
