We're learning with every game says coach Northey; LSH.
ONE day after Saints and Wigan have done battle at Langtree Park, another St Helens/ Wigan derby, lesser in stature but no less keenly contested, takes place at Moss Lane.
Wigan RUFC are Liverpool St Helens' opponents in week three of South Lancashire/ Cheshire One and the Moss Laners go into the game with wins in the first two, against Bowdon and Anselmians.
The wins have come after scoring heavily in the second half and head coach Andy Northey is looking for improvement in the full 80 minutes.
"Although it is basically the same group of players as last year, they are playing as a new team and still learning with every game" he said. "They all have a strong desire to get better."
This will be the first occasion that LSH have met Wigan in a first team league encounter and they will welcome former LSH half-back Martin Gambles, now at Wigan.
Northey is waiting on the availability of Alex McClurg, Dave Cunliffe and Phil Kearns.
