We're having whale of time.

THESE humpback whales make waves as they hunt for fish off the Irish coast at the weekend.

The majestic mammals were "bubble feeding" near Baltimore, Co Cork.

It is the first time this has been recorded in Irish waters.

The whales create a circle of bubbles around a shoal of fish and trap them by driving upwards, mouths open.

Catching lunch is as easy as shooting fish in a barrel for these creatures.

ON SONG Male humpback whales produce a complex song lasting up to 20mins, repeating it for hours at a time, which may have a mating role
