Watson hits out at 'dirty money'.

THE gambling industry are turning a "blind eye to dirty money", deputy Labour leader Tom Watson said yesterday.

He hit out at the actions of the industry in the wake of the WIlliam Hill failures.

Watson tweeted: "William Hill has just been fined PS6.2million by the Gambling Commission for accepting money from criminals without carrying out proper background checks.

"And this is an industry that talks about 'responsible gambling'. They're turning a blind eye to dirty money."

Watson also posted a link to Labour's review of NHS treatment of gambling addiction and asked his followers to contribute "if you have insights to offer".
