Water great effort for cancer charity.

A TEAM of workers from Coventrybased Severn Trent Water have raised more than PS4,000 for the Arden Cancer Centre at University Hospital.

The operations team have done a series of fundraisers over the past 12 months, with the most recent effort including 30 of them walking a 21-mile round trip from the Open Arms pub in Cheylesmore to Warwick Castle. The walk has raised more than PS1,100, with some donations still to come.

Neil Slevin, from Severn Trent Water, said: "We wanted to show our support for this local charity as a number of our team's friends and family have been treated at the Arden Cancer Centre.

"The work they do at the Arden Cancer Centre is life changing."
