Water convention breaks all records.

Water convention breaks all records

The International Bottled Water Assn.'s 32nd Annual Convention and Trade Show began the "Decade of Decision" with record-breaking success. Records for the numbers of attendees and exhibits were broken as 3,000 bottled water executives surveyed the 284 booths found on the display floor.

"This is the largest exhibition we've held," explained William Deal, IBWA executive vice president. "It certainly says one thing about the bottled water industry - the 1990s will be a time for huge growth for bottled water.

"One consistent commet we're hearing from attendees and exhibitors alike is how much the show has grown in recent years," Deal added. "This growth will lead us to expand the show to accommodate the larger number of attendees and exhibitors interested in the bottled water industry. IBWA continues to grow at an unprecedented 20 percent annually, with a 36-percent increase in attendance over the 1989 show."
