Wartsila wins O&M contract in Brazil.

Finnish ship power supplier and decentralised power generation systems provider Wartsila Corporation said on Wednesday (30 August) that it had been awarded an operations and maintenance (O&M) contract by the Brazilian company Rio Amazonas Energia SA for the new 83 MWe power plant in the city of Manaus.

The plant, which is nearing completion, comprises five Wartsila 18V46 generating sets.

The O&M contract will cover all aspects of the operations and maintenance of the plant, the company said.

The contract has an initial term of five years and is renewable for a further five years.
