Warning after theft of drugs; REDDITCH.

CHILDREN in Redditch are being warned to avoid anyone offering them drugs after a box of prescription tablets was stolen in Church Green East.

Families who live close to the area are being told to seek medical attention if their children have taken any unidentified drugs since May 22.

A carrier bag containing painkiller dihydrocodeine, and anxiety drugs diazepam and lorazepam was taken between 3.15pm and 4.30pm on Tuesday.

The package containing the drugs was left for a few moments on a bench as a man chatted to friends but when he returned it had gone.

A police spokesman said: "Anyone who has taken tablet they were not prescribed should seek medical attention immediately."

Anyone with information is asked to call 08457 444 888.
