Wanted man jailed after police appeal.

A WANTED man was arrested, put before the courts and jailed just hours after police made an appeal to track him down.

Andrew John Orzechowski was wanted in connection with an assault in Rugby and was among a list of suspects Warwickshire Police wanted to find.

He was arrested in Banbury last week after a warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to appear in court in March charged with assault by beating and possession of an offensive weapon - a knife - in a public place.

Orzechowski, 33, of Biart Place, Rugby, instead appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Wednesday where he pleaded guilty to both charges and was jailed for eight months.

Both charges related to incidents in Rugby on September 27, 2015.
