Walt Whitman School to be leased.

The Japanese Educational Institute of New York, currently located in Queens, New York, announced plan to enter into negotations with the Yonkers Board of Education to lease the former Walt Whitman School in Yonkers, New York for a period of one year beginning on or about July, 1991, while the Japanese educational Institute's new permanent facility at the former Daycroft School in Greenwich, Connecticut undergoes renovation.

Grades 4 through 9 will be taught at the Japanese School, whose student body consists of children from the New York, New Jersey metropolitan area.

The Walt Whitman School, to be renamed The Robert C. Dodson Intermediate School, is scheduled to resume its function as an elementary school servicing the Yonkers Public School system in August, 1992.
