Waiter, there's a fly on my pillow!

Here's a warning for any Mayflower descendants who hanker to visit "this Sceptered Isle ... this England." The British consumer watchdog group "Which?" found major hygiene failures in 20 hotels in London and Blackpool, including some with four-star ratings. Hotels had bacteria levels high enough to pose a health threat to guests, according to an online report by Reuters Health. Other infractions such as toenail clippings on the floor, dead flies, living ants, and cigarette butts in the sink may prompt Plymouth Rock's descendants to postpone any return to the Septic Isle.
