WYSE REDUCES PRICES ON TWO PERSONAL COMPUTERS,
OFFERS REBATE TO RESELLERS
SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyse Technology announced today it has reduced the suggested list prices, up to 15 percent, on its Decision 486/25 and Decision 386/25 personal computers. Wyse is also offering resellers $500 cash rebates on the purchase of selected SX and 486 PC products.
The suggested list prices on all models of the Decision 486/25 have been reduced $500, while the Decision 386/25 models have been lowered by $300. Reseller prices have also been reduced.
"Today's aggressive pricing action positions the two Decision PCs as the best values in their class," said Ron Okamoto, director of product marketing for PC and graphics products. "This brings the Decision 486/25 and 386/25 in line with the leading price/performance value of the rest of the Wyse Decision PC family."
Wyse is offering resellers $500 cash rebates on the purchase of a 486 PC and/or every five Wyse SX systems. Wyse SX PCs include the WY3016sx, Decision 386sx/16s, Decision 386sx/20, and DecisionMate(sx) Notebook. The rebate on 486 PCs is limited to one per reseller on the following models, the Decision 486/25, Decision 486/33 and Decision 486/33T. The program lasts until Dec. 15, 1991.
"As part of Wyse's commitment to our channel, we are offering resellers rebates on our most popular models, the SX PCs, as well as on our high-end models, the new 486 PCs," Okamoto said. "We expect the rebate particularly to appeal to value added resellers who combine the powerful Decision 486 PC with the lower cost SX PCs for an affordable network solution."
Wyse's full line of PCs ranges from a compact 4.5 pound notebook up to a powerful 486/33 tower. All the PCs offer performance, flexibility in expansion, ergonomically-designed keyboards and features, MS-DOS, competitive pricing, and strong service and support programs.
