 WYSE REDUCES 486 PC PRICES
SAN JOSE, Calif., March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyse Technology

announced today that it has reduced prices up to 33 percent on three 486-based personal computers, as well as selected 386 models. The price reductions are effective immediately.
"Wyse is committed to PC product offerings that lead their class in price/performance. This new pricing positions the high end of our line very aggressively," said Rich Wesson, vice president, Business Development, for the company's Systems Division.
Along with competitive pricing, Wesson said the company will continue to introduce new products and support programs that also provide a competitive edge. Over the past year, Wyse has introduced eight new 386- and 486-based systems and several new service and support programs for end users and resellers. The most recent addition was the Decision 486/50DX2, introduced on March 3, a 50 MHz PC based on the new Intel speed-doubling microprocessor.
The suggested list prices on all models of the Decision 486/33 are reduced $1,100, with the model 1 now priced at $2,199. The suggested list prices on the Decision 486/33T are lowered $1,250, with model 1 now selling at $2,849. The Decision 486/25 prices have been cut by $950, with the model 1 priced at $2,049. In addition, prices were reduced by $100 on models of the WY-3016SX, which now has a suggested list price starting at $799.
