WXYZ-TV/CHANNEL 7 TO HOST 'A TOWN MEETING WITH PRESIDENT CLINTON' WEDNESDAY, FEB. 10, 1993

 SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 will host "A Town Meeting With President Clinton" on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1993, from 8-9 p.m. The historic town meeting, the first in Clinton's presidency, will be broadcast live from the WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 studios in Southfield. The town meeting will be hosted by WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 anchor Bill Bonds.
 "A Town Meeting With President Clinton" will feature a diverse in- studio audience comprised of metropolitan Detroiters. They, along with individuals from three remote locations throughout the country, will pose questions to President Clinton regarding his economic plans for the country. The national remote sites whic ?will be facilitating questions in conjunction with WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 to President Clinton include the studios of WSB-TV Atlanta, WPLG-TV Miami and KOMO-TV Seattle.
 The upcoming Feb. 10 town meeting marks the second visit President Clinton has made to WXYZ-TV in the past five months. On Sept. 22, 1992, then Democratic presidential candidate Bill Clinton participated in a statewide town meeting hosted by WXYZ-TV/Channel 7. The Sept. 22 broadcast was watched by an estimated 600,000 metropolitan Detroit viewers.

 An encore broadcast of "A Town Meeting With President Clinton" will air on WXYZ-TV/Channel 7, Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1993, midnight-1 a.m. Inside Edition, normally seen at midnight, will be broadcast in its entirety at 1 a.m.
 In addition to WXYZ-TV, Scripps Howard Broadcasting owns and operates television stations in Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Kansas City, Memphis, Phoenix, Tampa, Tulsa and West Palm Beach.
