Licensed occupational therapists can now renew their license with the West Virginia Board of Occupational Therapy online at

The new service is available to occupational therapists on October 1 of each year and runs through December 31. Authorized users may log in securely from their desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone to complete the renewal application. Payments may be made using a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.

Features of the service include the ability to:

- Log in securely using License number, DOB, and Last four of SSN

- View and update contact information

- Upload supporting documentation

- Make secure online payments

We are extremely excited to offer a new streamlined service that enables occupational therapists to easily renew their license online, said Vonda Malnikoff, Executive Secretary, WV Board of Occupational Therapy. In addition to submitting renewal applications online, allowing for online payments is a huge benefit and greatly reduces the amount of time it takes to process a renewal application.

The West Virginia Board of Occupational Therapy regulates and licenses persons providing occupational therapy services to the general public in the state of West Virginia.

The Board's purposes are to protect consumers and promote quality of occupational therapy services, and to assure the highest degree of professional care and conduct on the part of occupational therapist and occupational therapist assistants.
