WUSF to celebrate 50th anniversary of USF.

2006 marks the 50th anniversary of the University of South Florida, and WUSF is going to celebrate in a big way. "We plan to create a special television program that will highlight the history of the university," says WUSF Content Director Diane Egner. The special will feature archived photos and interviews with those involved in the rich history of USF.

Individuals and corporations can get involved by helping to fund the project, which has a total budget of $110,000. "This project needs a hero with deep pockets--someone who loves the university and recognizes the special significance of USF's first 50 years" says Scott Nolan, WUSF Development Officer. Those interested can contact Nolan at 813.974.8625 or
