WTACEI holds mini-conferences.

West Tennessee ACEI, in collaboration with the Southwest Tennessee Child Care Resource and Referral Center, held five six-hour mini-conferences during the April through June 2005 quarter. The participants received 6 hours of training credit toward their annual training hour number required by the Tennessee Department of Human Services. Sack lunches were provided for each event by the local association. Topics for each mini-conference included: health and safety in the early childhood setting, administration for directors, inclusion of children with special needs, discovery in the science area, infant/toddler caregiver training, and an introductory session related to the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale. The conferences were held in Memphis, TN (2 mini-conferences), Jackson, TN, Savannah, TN, and Covington, TN.
