WOW! FROM COMPUSERVE WILL MAKE LEARNING AN ADVENTURE WITH TUTORS TO THE STARS
New Online Service Is First To Partner With The Online Tutor
COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 11 /PRNewswire/ WOW! from CompuServe, the new consumer online service created for at-home use, today announced that it will feature The Online Tutor(TM), a new venture by On Location Education, an established teaching service for child performers. This exclusive partnership will enable kids using WOW! to receive fast homework help online from tutors of stars such as Macaulay Culkin and Brandy. As with all content on WOW!, The Online Tutor will not be a surcharged service.
Certified teachers will be available during prime time homework hours -- after school and on weekends -- to field questions and educate kids about how to use online resources to research school projects. Kids are guaranteed a response of 30 minutes or less when they contact The Online Tutor through a message board format. Less urgent requests can be submitted via e-mail. The Online Tutor also is creating a reference area of tips and frequently asked schoolwork questions. The company's tutors are famous for making learning fast, fun and friendly for even the most demanding students.
"On WOW!, 'real people' make the difference," said Scott Kauffman, CompuServe's vice president of consumer markets and general manager of WOW!, "The Online Tutor gives kids the individual attention they need to solve their toughest homework problems quickly and easily."
WOW!, to be launched by CompuServe at the end of this month, is a powerful new online service created specifically for at-home use.
