WORLD TELECOM GROUP INC. ANNOUNCES LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH ELVIS PRESLEY ENTERPRISES INC.
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- World Telecom Group Inc. today announced that it has successfully reached a licensing agreement with Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. to utilize the image and likeness of Elvis Presley on its AmeriVox prepaid telephone calling cards. Initially, AmeriVox is releasing a limited number of 15 minute $10 phonecards. There are four versions of the initial Elvis Presley phonecards and each will be a first edition pressing of 25,000. One of the cards features a reproduction of Presley's armed services security ID, another features a photo of Presley talking on the telephone with his parents following his military discharge. The other two cards feature artistic renderings of Presley taken from photos early in his career. These cards are intended for regular renewable use and will be available immediately through the World Telecom Group Inc. independent sales force. World Telecom Group Inc. is also planning a major announcement surrounding the future application of the Elvis Presley license during the first week of January 1994 in commemoration of the 59th birthday anniversary of the legendary performer.
