WORLD'S BIGGEST WATER FIGHT.

THE world's biggest family water fight takes place at the Alnwick Garden this month.

On Saturday and Sunday, July 19 and 20, families will be heading to the Duchess of Northumberland's attraction to arm themselves with free water pistols for the Wet Yourself Weekend.

The garden boasts shooting water jets and interactive water features, but on this special weekend, there'll be more water than ever before.

Fifteen minutes of wet outdoor play will begin at 2pm each day. Whether it's the children against the parents, the girls against the boys or family against family, Wet Yourself Weekend is sure to be the wettest weekend of the summer, whatever the weather.

The garden is using social networking internet site Facebook to attract as many people as possible to the event.

A spokeswoman said: "We are hoping for a really big turnout, thousands rather than hundreds." A similar event is taking place at London's Hyde Park in the near future.
