Please excuse my delay. Not long ago, there was a debate in "Reader Blowback" regarding the use of "trigger press" or "trigger pull." I would like to interject a simple truth. Real sportsmen should have better things to debate. Regardless of which word you use--press, squeeze, pull, etc.--to describe the retraction of a trigger, we know what that author is referring to. A retraction, by definition, is to draw back or in, as back into the frame or receiver. Mincing words about such trivial things such as a word to describe the action that begins the striker or hammer release is a tad disturbing.
