 WOODS NAMED VICE PRESIDENT-INFORMATION SERVICES
 DALLAS, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL)


announced today that Thomas M. (Tom) Woods has been named vice president-information services.
 Woods received a BS mechanical engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1960. He joined Halliburton Services Division in Duncan, Oklahoma in 1966 as manager of data processing. From 1974 to 1978 he was materials manager for Halliburton Services. Since 1978 Woods has served as director-information services of the company's Information Services Center located in Arlington, Texas. Woods is a member and past chairman of the Dallas chapter of the Society for Information Management.
 The Information Services Center manages Halliburton Company's corporate-wide computer center and its global communications network, which incorporates fiber optics and satellite technologies serving more than 12,000 terminals located in over 100 countries throughout the world.
 Halliburton Company is one of the world's largest diversified energy services, engineering, maintenance, and construction companies. Founded in 1919, Halliburton provides a broad range of energy services and products, industrial and marine engineering and construction services, and property and casualty insurance services.
