WOMC ANNOUNCES REPLACEMENT OF ANTENNA BAYS; NOW BROADCASTING AT FULL POWER POTENTIAL

DETROIT, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was released today by WOMC:
Oldies 104.3 WOMC announced good news and good news this week. Following a summer project, Oldies 104.3 WOMC Chief Engineer Bill Bommarito announced that Detroit's good time oldies station is once again cranking with more power than any other radio station this side of the Mississippi.
The project, contracted by E.R.I. Company of Newburgh, Ind., included the replacement of eight new antenna bays at tower's top. The project was started in mid-August and now Oldies 104.3 WOMC is broadcasting at its full power potential -- 190,000 watts.
Detroit-area newspapers and television stations covered an incident in which 26-year-old Chris Martin -- an employee of E.R.I. Company -- fell 60 feet from the tower on Saturday, Aug. 28. Martin broke several bones, and suffered lacerations and internal injuries as a result of the fall. He has been in a coma since the accident.
This week word reached Oldies 104.3 WOMC that Martin had amazingly come out of his coma and was speaking, reading and writing coherently with hospital staff and family members. He is expected to recover from his serious injuries and will be undergoing rigorous therapy treatment.
Oldies 104.3 WOMC would like to offer its warmest regards to Chris Martin and the rest of the crew at E.R.I. Company. With 190,000 watts of good time oldies, perhaps the station will just broadcast its regards to their home and office in Indiana!
Oldies 104.3 WOMC is owned and operated by Infinity Broadcasting Corporation.
