WOLFERT APPOINTED CEO OF KEY BANK USA N.A.
ALBANY, N.Y., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Victor J. Riley, Jr., chairman, president and chief executive officer of KeyCorp (NYSE: KEY), has announced the appointment of Frederick E. "Rick" Wolfert to chairman, president and chief executive officer of Key Bank USA N.A. Wolfert will also retain his presidency of KeyCorp Leasing Ltd., KeyCorp's equipment leasing company which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Key Bank USA N.A. Riley commented, "Rick has exhibited exceptional leadership skills within the KeyCorp organization. I have great confidence in his ability to continue Key Bank USA's impressive track record." Wolfert, 39, joined KeyCorp in 1988 as senior vice president of Key Financial Services Inc. He was most recently president and chief operating officer of the leasing company. Before that, he served as a vice president for US Leasing Corporation in San Francisco. He holds a bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University, where he majored in marketing, and also has completed post-graduate work at Columbia University in New York. He is currently attending the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware. Wolfert is a member of the Professional Development Committee of the Equipment Leasing Association of America. He is also an active volunteer for the Center of Economic Growth, Albany, N.Y.
