WNA approves two new Mutual Interest Groups, invites members to get involved.
The WNA Board of Directors has approved two new Mutual Interest Groups (MIGs), the St. Croix Valley MIG and the Wisconsin Faith Community Nurses Coalition (WFCNC) MIG. MIGs may be formed when at least 15 WNA members express interest in forming a group, which can be geographical or specialty based.WNA's St. Croix Valley MIG, open to any WNA member, is a geographic MIG based in the Northwest/St.Croix Valley area of Wisconsin. This MIG focuses on legislative interaction with members and legislators, supports education through scholarships, and promotes the advancement of nursing through interaction and dissemination of nursing information. WNA's Faith Community Nurses Coalition MIG, open to any WNA member, is a specialty interest MIG of Faith Community Nurses. Their mission is to communicate a caring presence locally, regionally, and statewide while preserving, supporting, and advancing the professional practice of Faith Community nursing; and, unite Faith Community Nurses to nurture the professional development and practice of Faith Community Nursing within Wisconsin.
