WLCU launches its 18th conference in Buenos Aires.

NNA - The World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU) commenced the work of its 18th conference in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, in the presence of the Ambassador of Lebanon, Antonio Andari and leaders of the union.

Members of WLCU elected a new president, Alejandro Khoury, succeeding Michel Doueihi.

Khoury delivered a speech in which he outlined his program and stressed the importance of the EU and its role.

Later, Elie Hakmeh was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union and Elias Kassab as vice president.
