WITH CONSUMERWARE'S NEW VOICEMAIL LIGHT, NEVER MISS AN IMPORTANT PHONE MESSAGE AGAIN

Sharper Image Catalog First to Distribute

SEATTLE, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Consumerware introduces VoiceMail Light, a simple solution for avoiding missed messages for phone company voice mail subscribers. This small box that sits on a desktop, wall or directly on the phone, flashes a distinctive red indicator light when a message is in the user's voice mail box. VoiceMail Light is the only visual message alert system triggered immediately by the stutter dial tone used by phone company services to alert customers that a message is waiting. It works universally with any stutter tone, requires no coordination with the phone company to be activated, and there's no additional user charge.

VoiceMail Light is available as of April 1, 1996, from the 83 Sharper Image retail stores across the United States or from the Sharper Image catalog (phone number: 800-344-4444). The suggested retail price is $35, and it is available in black or white.

"Sharper Image is the perfect outlet for this product, as it is designed to meet the needs of discerning customers who are looking for the latest in consumer electronics," says Mark Gosselin, co-founder of Consumerware along with Bob Thordarson. "We also plan to market VoiceMail Light in other consumer electronic retail stores later this year."

VoiceMail Light is a reliable message alert solution that is easy to install and ready to use immediately. It has FCC Certification nationwide, works with any standard telephone and connects in seconds. Just plug it between the phone jack and the wall jack with the provided cord.

The blinking red light, activated by the stutter tone indicating a message is in the user's voicemail box, is programmed with intelligent controls to ensure reliability. The unit itself, which is about the size of a pager (3.5" x 1.4" x .8"), runs on two AAA batteries. Even if there's a power outage it will still operate.
