WISCONSIN HEALTH ORGANIZATION AND ST. MARY'S HOSPITAL
                        SIGN MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT
MILWAUKEE, Wis., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- CareNetwork, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRNT) (CNI), and St. Mary's Hospital announced that Wisconsin Health Organization (WHO), CNI's 100 percent wholly owned HMO subsidiary, and St. Mary's have signed a multi-year contract that provides for continued coverage of all WHO members by St. Mary's.
"We feel long-term contracts provide the greatest quality and continuity of care for the patient and thus are in the best interest of the community, the hospital and the insurer," said Sister Renee Rose, St. Mary's president.
St. Mary's was one of the founders of WHO and owns stock in CareNetwork, Inc., the HMO's parent corporation.
"We are excited to continue the relationship with St. Mary's, with a common goal of providing the highest quality of service at the most cost-effective prices to our members," said Kipton Kaplan, CareNetwork's president and chief executive officer.
Wisconsin Health Organization has more than 137,000 members.
Last week, PrimeCare, an HMO subsidiary of United HealthCare and a WHO competitor, announced it was severing its relationship with St. Mary's after the HMO and the hospital could not agree on a new contract. "Our multi-year contract represents CareNetwork's strategic provider/owner partnership focused on mutual long-term benefits and consistent service to our clients," a company spokesman said.
