WISCONSIN GAS SELLS NOTES
WISCONSIN GAS SELLS NOTES MILWAUKEE, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Wisconsin Gas Company today
agreed to sell $40 million of unsecured notes due 1998.
Underwriters for the issue are Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. and Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated. The notes have a coupon rate of 7 1/2 percent and were priced at a slight discount to yield 7.53 percent. Interest payment dates are Nov. 15 and May 15, and the notes are not redeemable by the company prior to maturity. James C. Donnelly, vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer, said the sale was a routine debt financing. Proceeds will be used to repay short-term debt and for general corporate purposes.
