Burton THE next talk for the Burton and Neston History Society is at 8pm on Thursday, December 12, in the Gladstone Hall. It will be by Elizabeth Davey, about Joseph Mayer 1803-1886, the modest philanthropist. Afterwards there will be seasonal refreshments to eat and drink and an exhibition of Then and Now photographs. Visitors are very welcome.

Wallasey WALLASEY Ladybirds will meet today at 7.30pm, for 8pm start, upstairs at Wallasey Central Conservative Club, 90 Manor Road. Ladies club enjoying social evenings, drama, visiting speakers, have charity stalls, bric-a-brac stall, an exchange stall, refreshments and book sharing.
