WINTHROP RESOURCES ELECTS TWO NEW DIRECTORS MINNEAPOLIS, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Winthrop Resources Corp.
(NASDAQ: WINR) has elected William F. Archerd and Gerald W. Simonson to its board of directors, the company announced today.
Archerd, a lawyer, established an independent corporate law practice earlier this year after 25 years with the firm of Oppenheimer Wolff and Donnelly. Archerd served on the board of trustees of Hamline University from 1980 through 1990. He received his bachelor's degree from Hamline in 1962 and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 1966. Simonson is a venture capital investor and president and chief executive officer of Unisource Corporation and Omnetics Connector Corporation. He is a director of Medtronic, Inc., Northwest Teleproductions, Inc. and the Chromaline Corporation.
